Coloring As A Meditation Technique

Transcendental meditation is one very valuable meditation technique – however, you must be taught by a certified instructor, and the course costs over a thousand dollars and takes up about a week of your time.

It is so much easier to learn to meditate through coloring, not to mention less expensive, and I think – a lot more fun! In addition to being able to meditate as you color, when you are finished you have a thing of beauty to decorate your home or share with a friend.

Coloring as a meditation technique has been taught to children with autism, or ADHD as well as adults with Alzheimers or other mental problems. Anyone can benefit easily from using coloring as a meditation technique. Below I’ve listed some of the coloring books for adults that are specifically created for meditation. They include instructions on coloring as a meditation technique.

Mandala Coloring Book For Adults – On The Kindle!

This is the first coloring book for adults I have seen on the Kindle. It is a mandala meditation coloring book, and the author says if you cannot print the mandalas, contact him and he will send a PDF. I don’t think you should have a problem printing the mandalas to color, though, if you have the Kindle reading app on a computer. So many adults love coloring mandalas, I’m sure this will be a big hit!

This realistic human anatomy coloring book for adults has 117 five star reviews from 170 reviews on Amazon, which is really amazing! It also comes with a lay flat binding – something I wish a lot more coloring books for adults would feature. It would be a great source for an older child who is considering pursuing science or medicine as a career to get a basic knowledge of anatomy.
