Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.-Maori Proverb
As I fed the livestock this morning, a Great Blue Heron flew low and majestically over my head. I so rarely see my totem bird – a water bird, after all – here in the desert. It must mean something good is gonna come…
I’ve been busy this week. I have had to drop out of Nanowrimo. It was just too much on top of the preparations (including editing) going on to get “The River Way” ready for print. By the way – if you’d like to be notified by email when it is released, drop me a line and I can add you to the list!
Color-Your-Own.com has also been moved to the new host. Yes, I moved it before. The other new host was so frustrating to add one single page to that I chickened out and didn’t add any new coloring pages for months. That should be resolved now. I also set up a new Coloring Pages Blog that works better than the other one. The blidget still is not working – don’t know why – but you can always grab the RSS feed and keep up on the newest coloring pages as they are added. I’m hopefully going to be back on one coloring page a day – most days (even artists get a day off don’t they?) – starting later today. So go have a look! I’m actually looking forward to it – I like drawing coloring pages for you.
This morning I woke up all enthused for some reason and jumped into making a new Squidoo lens – Survival in these difficult times. It is a compilation of both positive thinking and thrifty living advice and resources to give you a hand in getting through this “economic crises” all the media is blathering on about. I have some ideas for a couple more lenses on this subject, and will try and get to them next week.
The winter blues have had me by the ankle – and the fear of being famous has had me by the other ankle. You wouldn’t believe that something that should make me so happy – getting my novel published – would also make me so depressed and freaked out. Knowing that it is silly irrational PTSD inspired fear doesn’t make it any easier to release. Well, okay – perhaps a little easier. I seem to be in motion again at last. Now that I have tackled some of the much needed web related work, perhaps I can face editing my own novel and doing the other work the publisher wants out of me – in the next two weeks!
I have been doing really well on my swaps at SwapBot. So this is what it feels like to mail things before the last minute
LOL. I’ve got some images to add to my little gallery of ATCs, too. I have some odd fixation that I don’t like to post them before I’ve mailed the ATCs – don’t ask me why. I’ll probably have a slide show of them tomorrow or later today on the blog. I just wanted to get a Friday post up on Friday for a change – so I set myself a deadline of noon.
Which I’m just barely going to make.
Blessedbe
