In my solitude, many miles from men and houses, I am in a childishly happy and carefree state of mind, which you are incapable of understanding unless someone explains it to you.Knut Hamsun
So please explain to me why I’m going to town again today? Ah well, I have good reasons. First, a swap that has to be mailed today. Second – my wonder modem literally fried like an egg on my desk yesterday. I grabbed the hubbys modem, but it will only be so long before he starts tweaking for his online RPG and assaults me to take it back. Thus I made a desperate call to Verizon and for a wonder got an understanding service person who is overnighting me a replacement. Which I hope really will be in town waiting for me when I get there today.
I did manage to stay away from town for an entire week though – how nice it has been. I’ve even gotten some work done!
On Squidoo, I wrote a couple of lenses – Free Printable Christmas Coloring Pages about, the obvious – and Survival in Difficult Times which is pretty much my take on our “current economic crises”. We’ve been laughing around here since the bank and realtor told my roomie that our little town is having an economic boom – in the middle of the rest of the United States’ economic crises. It’s all about our Spaceport and NASCAR track, you know. Both of which I think are total bullshit, but then you’ve probably heard all that from me already. Speaking of Squidoo, I also converted my Mustang lens to a charity lens, donating it’s income to the Long Hopes Donkey Rescue. They rescue BLM donkeys, as well as others. Until I either find a Mustang charity on the list, or figure out how to add one, the Long Hopes will certainly do. I love those wild burros, too!
After converting them to PDF files and printing them out – I decided to redraw all of the 12 days of Christmas coloring pages. Only half of them look bad (well, not great) printed out – but I think in interest of keeping them uniform looking, just in case someone wants to print them all, I need to redraw them all. So far only the Partridge in a Pear Tree coloring page and Two Turtledoves coloring page are done and uploaded. I did also add a couple of other coloring pages though – Emperor Penguins and Egyptian Cat Statue (Bast). I did those two for some swap ATCs and just resized for coloring pages while I was at it. Well, really, I drew them size huge for coloring pages, then resized down to ATC size.
Other than that – one thing and another have conspired to keep me from accomplishing a whole lot online this week. I did have the cheap thrill of receiving my first payment from Carvebuddy sales. And I did manage to get The River Way edited, and all the other “schtuff” they wanted off to the publisher in time. Whew.
I guess I did okay this week.
Next week – I have photos to run around my elbow with (maybe those deer came out?), redrawing of the rest of the Christmas coloring pages, and hopefully I’ll add a few new christmas coloring pages. I’m actually ahead on swaps right now, but I’d like to STAY that way – LOL – so I’ll probably do a few of those and have them ready to mail out next payday.
I have an in-progress Squidoo lens I want to finish, plus I want to do the one devoted to my art, and of course some updating and polishing of older lenses. I once again have 50 active lenses, so I’ll try again for Giant Squidness.
Oh yes, the ACEO YBA group on eBay has chosen “Artistic Nudes” as their Call to Art for December 15th. I’d like to have a few entries ready for that.
And I have been picking at the adult blogs and websites. It would be nice to have at least one of them finished enough to brag about next Friday.
That sounds like a full plate. I’ll keep you posted on my progress
Blessedbe
Summer
