This drawing was done at Lake Bentley State Park. The butterflies, however, are ones I had spotted all over the eastern part of New Mexico during our trip. Lake Bentley State Park is sort of an undiscovered gem. At least when we were there very few campers were using it. The ‘regulars’ told us this was pretty normal and those who knew about the park, rather liked it’s “undiscovered” sort of status. It is a beautiful park, with hiking and of course, the lake. Rather isolated and off on it’s own, this means there is also quite a bit of wildlife and birds to enjoy.

Now hopefully – this post published itself!
