Bragging – Fairy Coloring Pages
My Squidoo lens Fairy Coloring Pages is in the top 100 in the Arts category (#47) and as of today is in the top 1000 lenses on Squidoo!!
WOW.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by and visited it, and if you haven’t yet, if you would like to it would quite make my day to see it keep going up!
In other news – what with all the excitement of ER runs, crazy lady, and this damn work schedule, not to mention the blown out tire that ate the bank account, I forgot to renew the domain for Color-Your-Own.com. I had just enough left to renew it, so it should be back up soon. Oooops.
A day on the ‘net
Well, mostly. A shed blew over and I had to go rescue some things and I did some dishes and in general fooled around on the ranch a little – but I did do some Internet stuff, too.
Like three new Squidoo lenses – I got hooked on the new TwitList tool, and finished one I started a couple days ago on a whim.
- My Coloring Books Wishlist just because and well, it IS my birthday on Thursday.

Took a few pictures of crayons, coloring pages in progress and stuff for those – and uploaded (finally) the picture of my new shoes:
I always wanted a pair of Converse High Tops. And I always have to have fun colored punky shoe laces. The shoes I bought for work – and paid what I consider big bucks for – disintegrated after like three weeks. Seriously. I was not happy. So we had to drive all the way to Las Cruces to shoe shop. Then I couldn’t find anything really meant for people like me who walk a few hundred miles on concrete in the heat every day. So I decided if I was going to spend money on shoes, I’d buy what I damn well wanted – Converse – and if they hurt my feet I’d break down and go shopping again and probably spend even more (OW) but at least I’d have my Converse. The happy news is my feet do not hurt. Wheee!
Long as I was in Las Cruces, I bought hair color. Like, enough for a few months. The only thing is you apparently cannot even buy the 80 peroxide at the pro shops now. Dammit. So I’m blond, but it has a lot of red. Sigh. Maybe when it’s been hit a few more times as I touch up the roots…

Last but hardly least, I am skinny again! Wheeee! Been having fun trying on things I already own and watching them fall off my hips
It isn’t the best pic, blurry and all – but considering I was trying to take it with the phone in the bathroom mirror…

I’m about down to fightin’ weight again – or dancing weight.
And that’s what I did today on the Internet. Okay, I was going to draw coloring pages. I might still draw coloring pages. Depends on what the rest of the family is up to.

Not dead yet
No, I’m not dead. Just adjusting to having a full time work schedule again, some major changes in my living arrangements, and dealing with an illness in the family. Now and then when I have a spare moment, I even think about my old online business. I was surprised by a little check from the adult side this week, in fact. Which is amazing, considering I let the hosting expire and none of my adult sites are online at the moment – LOL. Gotta love it.
The other day I read that when the Internet first became available to regular mortals, the ONLY profitable Internet based businesses were adult oriented sites. How things have changed in the space of just a decade or two.
Once this living arrangement issue settles a bit, I plan to get some new coloring pages up. Meanwhile, I may also get my adult sites rehosted. And I do want to get Fre-ecards going again. Basically, I’ll be continuing the things I find to be fun to play with, and if they make me a buck – well, yay.
Now that I have my kayak here, chances are I won’t be spending a lot of time online that could be better spent on the water. What can I say? My priorities have changed.
You’re sure to see me from time to time on this blog. More musings than I’ve been doing for a long while. Updates on the business stuff. I’ll likely get blacklisted or blocked from a lot of things since I may as well keep you up on the adult side as well as mainstream. I can’t be bothered with the bullshit anymore. Stupid shit.
I pretty much don’t Twitter any more. I’ve got gobs of followers that are all just advertising themselves. Gone commercial as hell. Twitter = SPAM, so why would I bother? Haven’t been to Tagfoot in weeks. Just haven’t had the time to spare to surf around and it seems to have gotten rather SPAMMY, too. And don’t get me started on blogs. All the things they were so great for when blogging started and got big have now been buried under the “make money on the Internet” rage. Everyone wants to make money on their blog and are following all the same great suggestions for branding, being an expert, focusing on your field until blogs aren’t at all the “web log” of a human life but just advertising vehicles. *shrug* I’m well out of it, I think.
A small flock of barn swallows have taken up residence here at the ranch. I love to watch them dip and swoop after insects in the afternoon sun, their indigo blue backs flashing in the light contrasting with the warm glow of their peach colored breasts. After dark, at work, I love watching the nighthawks catching moths around the parking lot lights. I saw a Pronghorn dart across the road ahead of me a few days ago and yesterday or the day before, we stopped to admire the menacing magnificence of a big Mohave Rattlesnake, sprawled sunning on the road – from the safety of the car! These things are important. These memories are priceless.
Get up from your computer for a minute, and go experience life.
Blessedbe
