3-Day Novel Warm-up; Flash Fiction

Yes, I signed up for the 3 day Novel over Labor Day. Put in for the three days off work weeks ago. Have warned cohabitators of the home. Am hoping to pay the entry fee for the juried competition. (I have an Adsense payment coming that should be just in time – although if I use it for that I won’t have it for new ecard software. Hmmmm)

Bought a pile of spiral notebooks to hold the background information for the Hunter series. Will start today on doing research to fill them. (Stuck in the library for two hours because of hubby & I work schedule)

And this morning I am thinking. About the fact that during the time of ungodly scheduling, I did no writing at all. None. It has now been months since I wrote anything more difficult than a brief blog entry or a Squidoo lens. Like anything else, writing improves with practice. Much as I hated it, I did some of my best writing when I was coughing up 3 or more 1000 word stories a day for the sex story agent. (After almost two years of it, I felt my writing had gone downhill and become boring because of burn out).

Thus I have decided that for the next few weeks – until the 3 Day Novel begins – I am going to barf out 1000 words per day of fiction. May be flash fiction, inspired by…whatever…may be a background bit for Hunter series, could be ANYTHING, just to get me writing again. Now it is inevitable that I will probably refire the adult blogs and toss some of it in there, but the majority of it will be in the Cauldron – for lack of anywhere else to put it – and, well, about time this blog got some real material again. So – stand ready for the onslaught…
