Monticello, New Mexico in photographs

I survived the 3 day novel event! Both roomie and husband were very supportive. The manuscript is officially mailed off for judging – think good thoughts.

Hubby and I decided we deserved a fun day and settled on the idea of taking a little road trip out to Monticello, New Mexico. The roomie took me out there about a year ago on a trip to purchase some hay and I thought the little town was just too cute. Lots of old adobe – and beautiful scenery, too. It is becoming something of a little artists community. Several fine artists from California have purchased property for studios/galleries. We got there too late in the day to explore those – but our main idea was to have a nice drive and let the hubby take some photos – something he loves to do.

If you are a birder – check out the lovely Gambels Quail who so kindly posed for us. Enjoy the slide show!

Now that we’ve had a couple great days off together, it’s time for me to get my nose back to the grindstone – or at least back to working on various Internet projects.

See you soon!
