Help out the Desert Tortoise
This is a situation that should be worked out easily between equally concerned parties. Of course, not only is our government involved, but the Armed Forces, as well as us green folks. So much for that.

Desert Tortoise
In all fairness – the Army has been trying to help. They relocated several hundred Desert Tortoises to keep them from being squashed during tank exercizes. Unfortunately, some 250 tortoises died during relocation. So the Center for Biological Diversity is simply asking the BLM and the Army to delay another relocation until studies can find out why so many tortoises died, how that could be prevented, and if relocating the tortoises is even good for them, or bad for them, or no help at all. Not an unreasonable request, is it?
Right. Then you can lend your support here and read more about the Desert Tortoise here.
Meanwhile, I have the day off. I’m working on some housekeeping projects, and my email inbox. I may even get a little done on various websites, some writing, some art. Then again, I may be overambitious – LOL.
