Interview with the author
Why is the Bridget Sway show so unique?
I believe that it’s a couple things, to be honest. I read to a broad range of chick lit from mysteries to paranormal mysteries across genres. When I was writing the Bridget Sway show, I wanted to integrate all my elements of those genres into the show and the characters .
It blends together very well, although that might sound like a bit of a strange mash up. Since I adore whodunnits from mysteries, I uttered the sleuthing and the bodies! Among the things that may get annoying in mysteries, however, is that the heroine that runs into harmful conditions. I wanted to create Bridget than the cozy sleuth, so I gave her those female characters’ snarky or sassy attitude that are so widespread in the paranormal mystery genre. Additionally, I borrowed a little of the wit and comedy too. Because everyone needs a little comedy when finding bodies!
And, despite her being a ghost, I wanted to make sure Bridget Sway was relatable, so that I made sure that she and friendships and growth struggle like everyone in actual life. Both these themes are dominant in the chick lit genre.
All this implies the Bridget Sway series has roots in all three genres; paranormal mystery cozy mystery, and chick lit. I believe this is since it appeals to a wider audience, what makes the show so popular.
Who’d delight in the set?
It means there’s no swearing or gender, without a blood that is real — folks aren’t becoming limbs so it’s good for younger readers. And, apart from the fact the figures are ghosts and it’s place in the afterlife, the paranormal component is confined to this. It is not a horror story by any stretch of the imagination.
In terms of similar reads, ” I believe if you like Angie Fox’s Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries, Angela Roquet’s Lana Harvey show or Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse/Harper ConnellyGrave Sight series you’re in the perfect place!
Do you have to read them?
Nope, you don’t. So you can read them in any purchase they standalone mysteries. So to get the most from it, it is a series, having Said That I’d suggest the following order:
Just a Touch Dead (prequel)
A Little More Dead
Dead and Buried
